0~120m
Vesicular lava flow layers such as acicular feldspar olivine basalt (FOB), volcanic pyroclastic layer (scoria), felspar basalt (FB) layers are repeatedly found. There are yellow cemented layers are in the 65-70m zone.
120~240m
Feldspar olivine basalt (FOB) and volcanic pyroclastic layer (scoria) layers are repeatedly found, and feldspar augite olivine basalt (FAOB) layers are occasionally shown. Two to three layers of clay are also located in this zone.
240~360m
Spring water discharged from cracks of a rock or hole on the ground surface is called Gomangmul. Gomangmul of Oedocheon stream in Oedo-dong was selected as one of the 100 best waters in Korea by the Korean Association for Conservation of Nature and the Kyunghyang Shinmun in 1987.
Below 360m
Parabasal groundwater aquifer zone made up of layers of feldspar olivine basalt (FOB), volcanic pyroclastic layer (scoria), and clay is located around 320-420m altitude. In addition, underneath the aquifer are non-permeable Seogwipo layer and U-shaped layer, which is an unconsolidated sedimentary layer.
