JPDC has been successfully fulfilling the mission to create value using the resource in Jeju and redirecting the value back to its residents.

JPDC has been fulfilling the role of protector for pure and clean nature of Jeju Island, including the only triple-crown winner of the global nature and science sectors recognized by UNESCO.

As of 2018, JPDC invested 201 billion KRW in dividends and 32.3 billion KRW, which is more half of its cumulative net profit of 525.3 billion KRW, to improve the environment, society, human resources, and social welfare.

JPDC has been fulfilling the role of protector for pure and clean nature of Jeju Island, including the only triple-crown winner of the global nature and science sectors recognized by UNESCO.

 

JPDC countinues to expand supports for Jeju as the environmental capital of the world through recycling campaigns. With these efforts, JPDC hopes to create a world where nature and humans can coexist, achieve pilot projects to install water-saving equipments, and support civil groups for environmental conservation.

Culture +social value

JPDC has conserved the history and culture of Jeju by supporting various programs, including the education of the Jeju’s painful history of the 4·3 Uprising and Massacre, as wells as the revival of Jeju traditional music and conservation programs.

 

JPDC has also work to provide Jeju residents with opportunities to participate in cultural events by conducting Jeju Samdasoo Masters.

Human +Talent Development

 

To provide high-quality positions to youth in Jeju, 98 new employees were hired in 2016, 159 in 2017 and 147 in 2018.

Also, 100% of temporary workers were transitioned into permanent positions. The youth internship program for the local Jeju university students has been actively being expanded.

Happy +welfare enhancement

 

Visits to the isolated residents in Jeju province were made to support and build bonding relationship with empathy. To share the care, various programs such as free tangerine juice sharing with the socially disadvantaged, welfare program to support facilities for the elderly, and a rehabilitation program for those released from prison were conducted.

Since 2005, our employees have practiced the business philosophy of sharing through annual volunteer work to achieve happiness for Jeju residents. JPDC passionately worked to clean the forest and coastal area, which has become an indispensable part of sharing activity.
